Did you know Groot was originally a villain? When he first lumbered onto Tales to Astonish in 1959, he was nothing more than a “Monster from Planet X”. He could speak normally, and he wanted to experiment on people back on his homeworld, but he was defeated by a biologist who bred super termites to chew him to death. Comics are weird. 🌱
