In 2018, Mad Max: Fury Road was re-released in black and white, and an opportunity between The Half & Half and the Nickelodeon Theatre led to me representing the film with a custom, illustrated poster.

I had two weeks to design a 5-layer screen print on top of my normal duties as printmaker at H&H. The film is erratic and fast paced, but the action is easy to follow with its central framing technique (the most important information is always in the center regardless of how fast the shot changes). This film technique informed the layout and color choices of my illustration.

The end product is a 24”x36” poster that sold out almost immediately. It has metallic flake foil to add sheen and chrome. The poster then went on to win the following:
